Acceptance
I stand surrounded
by objects of protection.
But I feel an immense peace and trust and I kick away
the trappings of fear and stand proud, sure in my own strength.
I know I can face all that life throws at me.
I look into
the mirror of the sky and I can see the face of acceptance.
I see, in one
look, myself in my entirety,
and I know that I am not perfect,
but that for each difficult aspect there is a positive trait
which allows me to be bright and tolerant
and loving. And if I am true to myself,
and to the principles which I have learned, then I may find real serenity.
