Orthodoxy
It was essential that I spent many hours
in the art of contemplation. There are insights to be had only after the
practice of many years. There is an essential discipline and I had to
give myself up to the training.
I threw myself into the effort and my
teachers were surprised at my progress.
I found that I have many selves, and I
conducted a dialogue between myself as scientific sceptic and myself as
seeker after truth. I contemplated the limitless space of the universe
and dived deep into the wonderful world of the subatomic particle, and
my scientific self was forced to look again at the paradoxes of the mystics.
