Sanctity

...and I sprawled across the rock.

The powers of the elements fought their battles around me, and I was little more than a leaf tossed in the wind, rolled against the rock walls with no more control than a small animal or an inanimate clod.

Throughout the ordeal I clung to the knowledge I had gained so recently.
After all that searching I knew that love was the only thing I needed to hold onto.

Love! I screamed into the wind, and it drowned my word,
but I could speak it again, and again,
until the power of the earth was spent.
And as the clouds rolled away the sky appeared like glass.
And I could see my reflection in the crystal blue.
