I found several reviews of online mindmap tools, and the most useful tool looks like it may be Mindmeister:

Web 2.0 is truly wonderful. Someone has probably invented the application you're looking for - although it may not work with the others you'd like it to and it may not be free - but it often is free, at least at a basic level!
